Makronisos Beach

Makronisos Beach is a sandy beach near Ayia Napa, Famagusta District.
The beach is a cluster of three small bays facing west, southwest and southeast. The Makronisos Tombs archaeological site is right by the beach. The southwestern part lies within a Natura 2000 protected area.
The beach was awarded the Blue Flag in 2026, the international label for clean water and a well-kept shore.
Official bathing water quality for the 2025 season: excellent.
On the beach: lifeguards, sunbeds and umbrellas, toilets, showers, changing rooms, water sports, parking, playground.
The beach is wheelchair accessible, with a ramp down to the water. A floating wheelchair is available; ask the lifeguards.
