Golden Beach

Golden Beach is a sandy beach near Rizokarpaso, Famagusta District.
This long strip of sand backed by dunes lies within the protected nature area of the Karpas peninsula. Sea turtles nest here, and wild donkeys roam the surrounding land.
The beach lies in the northern part of the island, which has not been under the control of the Republic of Cyprus since 1974. It is reached through the official crossing points.
