Fig Tree Bay

Fig Tree Bay is a sandy beach near Protaras, Famagusta District.
The bay is named after a solitary fig tree that, according to local tradition, has grown here since the 17th century.
The beach was awarded the Blue Flag in 2026, the international label for clean water and a well-kept shore.
Official bathing water quality for the 2025 season: excellent.
On the beach: lifeguards, sunbeds and umbrellas, toilets, changing rooms, showers, food and drinks, water sports, parking, playground.
The beach is wheelchair accessible, with a ramp down to the water. A floating wheelchair is available; ask the lifeguards.
