Agia Thekla Beach

Agia Thekla Beach is a sandy beach near Ayia Thekla, Famagusta District.
The beach is named after Saint Thekla, to whom both a nearby rock-cut chapel and a newer white church are dedicated. It lies within a Natura 2000 protected area. A coastal footpath leads to the fishing harbour of Potamos Liopetriou and to Vathia Gonia beach.
The beach was awarded the Blue Flag in 2026, the international label for clean water and a well-kept shore.
Official bathing water quality for the 2025 season: excellent.
On the beach: lifeguards, sunbeds and umbrellas, toilets, showers, changing rooms, water sports, parking.
The beach is wheelchair accessible, with a ramp down to the water. A floating wheelchair is available; ask the lifeguards.
